Description
The Brazenoze Public House is a public house that was originally built in the 17th century and remodelled around 1919. It is located at the angle of the road on Cropredy High Street. The building is constructed from ironstone ashlar and features a slate roof with a brick ridge stack. It has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high, plus an attic.
The façade has a two-window range. The entrance, located on the right, features a panelled and glazed door set within a moulded wood frame. To the right of the entrance is a metal casement window with a stone flat arch. To the left are two three-light windows and one seven-light window, all similar in style. On the first floor, there is a three-light metal casement window in a wood frame with a wood lintel, alongside a five-light window with a stone flat arch. The right gable has metal casements with lead cames and crown glass. The south or left gable is noted for having an ancient stone-based moulded stack, and on the ground floor, there is a late 17th-century two-light wood mullioned and transomed window. The rear of the building has been rebuilt in brick. The interior has not been inspected.
