Description
Glen Dyne is a house located on West Bar Street in Banbury. It features an early 19th century front that is attached to an 18th century structure. The exterior is rendered with a steeply pitched slate roof and brick end stacks. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys plus an attic, comprising a three-window range.
The central entrance is highlighted by a stone porch that leads to a half-glazed door with an overlight. On either side of the doorway are sash windows with horns. The first floor contains three sashes with glazing bars, each three panes wide, and all windows are set on stone sills. The roof includes two gabled dormers. The central bay of the house is accentuated by flanking pilasters that extend through both the ground and first floors. A moulded chamfered cornice runs below the rendered parapet, which is topped with stone coping. The interior has not been inspected.
