Description
Rignell Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house, marked by a datestone from 1731. It is built from regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched plain tile roof with stone copings. The building has two stone end stacks, with the right stack dating from the 20th century. It has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high with two entrances.
On the left side, there is a 20th-century door with a stone flat arch, flanked by two 20th-century sash windows, also with stone flat arches. To the right is a plain door with a simple wood surround and a stone flat arch, alongside a 20th-century sash window with a stone flat arch. The first floor has three 20th-century sash windows that feature wooden lintels, and there is a single 20th-century roof dormer. At the rear, there is a 20th-century wing to the left, and to its right, a gabled two-storey rectangular staircase projection with stone copings.
Inside, the farmhouse includes notable features such as stop-chamfered beams, plank doors, a wooden winder stair, a cellar, and a stone fireplace.
