Description

The Old Farmhouse is an early to mid-18th century farmhouse, later restored in the 20th century. It is constructed of squared coursed lias stone with a 20th century plain tile roof. Originally built with a three-unit lobby-entry plan, the farmhouse is two storeys high with an attic. The front elevation features a three-window arrangement of 20th century windows, all set beneath original wooden lintels. A 20th century door is positioned to the left of centre, also under a wooden lintel and hood. A brick stack rises from the ridge of the roof. An outbuilding to the left now forms part of the main house. The rear elevation exhibits some 20th century lintels. Inside, the room to the right of the entrance hall contains an open fireplace with a bressumer and bread oven. It also retains stop-chamfered spine beams. A wall previously separating rooms on the left side has been removed.
