Description

This dovecote, located approximately 6 meters south of Beauchamp House, dates from the 17th or 18th century. It is tall and rectangular, constructed from regular coursed ironstone rubble, and features a gabled stone slate roof laid in diminishing courses. On the left side, there are two buttresses, while a 20th-century casement window is positioned to the right. The entrance is located at the left end, and there is a weatherboarded lantern with a hipped slated roof. Ironstone quoins are present on the left side. The interior was ceiled in the 20th century, but nesting boxes remain above the ceiling. This structure is included for its group value.
