Description
Stone Hill House is a large house dating from the 18th century, constructed of regularly coursed ironstone with fine joints and topped with a 20th-century tile roof. The building features three stone stacks with triple shafts, two of which are rendered, located at the ridge and ends. It has a three-unit plan, two storeys plus an attic, and a six-window range. There is a French door on the right and five sash windows on the left, along with one sash window on the right. All windows have keystoned stone surrounds and stone lintels. The first floor has six similar windows and four hipped full dormers. The house has a moulded stop eaves cornice and stone copings. The entrance from Stone Hill is recessed with an elliptical archway, chamfered sides, and keystoned stone surrounds, leading to a four-panelled door. A cast iron bootscraper is located to the left of the entrance. There is an attached wall with an elliptical keystoned arch at the rear. Stone Hill House is part of Bloxham School. The interior has not been inspected.
