Description

Westway House is a late 18th-century house, potentially with earlier origins, located on Horn Hill Road in Adderbury. The house is built of coursed squared marlstone with some ashlar dressings, and has a Welsh-slate roof with brick end stacks. It follows a two-unit plan and has a four-window front on the right side, which is regular in design. This section features a 6-panel door with an ornamental overlight, situated below a 12-pane sash window. To the right of the door are pairs of similar sash windows on both floors, all with ashlar flat arches. The left half of the front displays a similar arrangement of sash windows, but they are positioned irregularly on each floor, along with a small, later inserted opening. The shallow-pitched roof has stone gable parapets. A building with a steep roof projects slightly to the right and now serves as a garage, featuring double doors. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
