Description

Unit 1 of the Castle Centre is a house that has been converted into a shop. It likely dates from the 18th century and was remodeled in the 19th or 20th century. The building is constructed from regular coursed ironstone rubble and features a slate roof with brick stacks inside. It stands two stories tall and has a one-window range. On the ground floor, there is a canted bay window alongside a tri-partite sash window with a wooden lintel. The first floor has a single tri-partite sash window with a stone lintel. Access to the shop is through the Castle Street shopping centre. The interior was remodeled in the 20th century.
