Description

The left gatepier, located approximately 50 metres west of Hanwell Castle, dates back to the 17th century and is constructed from ironstone. It is a tall square pier topped with a moulded and chamfered cornice and a ball finial. This gatepier is one of two that mark the former main entrance to Hanwell Castle.
