Description
This is a shelter shed and hovel from the 18th century, located approximately 50 metres north of Preedy's Farmhouse. The building features coursed ironstone walls at the rear and ends, topped with a thatched roof. It consists of four bays, with divisions marked by two round tapering piers and one square pier on the yard elevation. The end bay is enclosed with weatherboarding and a plank partition. The northeast wall includes two niches and a doorway on the inside. The roof is constructed with principal rafters, which are crossed and pegged at the apex, supported by collars, ties, and through purlins. There is a door in the end gable leading to the hovel, which has a single bay and a thatched roof. The roof structure is currently derelict.
