Description
This description covers a group of two chest tombs from the 19th century, located approximately 10 meters east of the chancel at the Church of St. Michael. The northern chest tomb is dated 1821 and made of ironstone. It features an inscription dedicated to William Chaplin, plain incised panels, and a heavy chamfered ledger slab. The southern chest tomb has an illegible inscription but displays similar, slightly more elaborate details, including corner balusters, incised panels, and a heavy chamfered ledger slab.
