Description
This barn and cowhouse, located approximately 40 meters northwest of Newhouse Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features weatherboarded timber framing, topped with a thatch roof. The barn has three bays, including a cowhouse bay. The front of the barn has double doors to the right of center and a stable door in the left bay. The rear of the barn bays is timber framed and includes smaller double doors. The roof is half-hipped. Inside, there are butt purlins with through tenons, barn trusses with collars, ties, and curved braces from the rear posts, and there is no dividing wall.
