Description

Weir Cottage is likely a 17th-century building, with later 20th-century additions, originally comprising two cottages that have since been combined into a single house. The construction is of colourwashed rubble with wooden lintels, topped with a thatched roof and brick stacks. The house follows a 2-unit plan, connected by a linking range. It is two stories high. The original cottage wings have small casement windows, some with leaded glazing. The front of the building features a central doorway, along with small, single-story extensions on both sides. The interior remains uninspected. It is believed to be part of a larger group of buildings previously known as Copyhold Cottages.
