Description
Weir Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1700, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble and features wooden lintels, with roofs made of plain tiles and Welsh slate, topped with brick gable stacks. The building is L-shaped and includes a converted granary wing. It has two storeys plus an attic. The main range has a two-window front, with 12-pane 18th-century sash windows on each floor and a small leaded roof dormer. To the right, there is a two-storey range that was formerly a granary, which now features large rusticated ashlar quoins, a 20th-century brick porch, and a casement window on each floor. The rear wing extends from the right end of the main range and has three leaded cross windows on the first floor facing right, along with a gabled stair projection at the angle of the ranges. The interior has not been inspected.
