Description
This building is an oasthouse located about 25 metres north of Stone Court Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of red brick, with timber framing and weatherboarding, topped with a plain tiled roof. The oasthouse stands two storeys tall, featuring a brick ground floor and a timber first floor. The roof is gabled to the right and half-hipped to the left. There are boarded doors on each floor of the right return elevation. A damaged cone projects from the centre left of the roof. This structure is a rare example of the pre-19th century form of oasthouse, where the kiln and stowage area are combined into one building.
