Description

The wall and war memorial in front of St Paul's Church dates from 1746 and is contemporary with the church itself. The wall is approximately 4 feet high and constructed of Tunbridge Wells ashlar. On the right side, there are two stone gate piers topped with pyramidal caps. The war memorial, which is a later addition, takes the form of a modified cross and rises from the center of the wall. In front of the memorial, there are three stone steps that lead to a stone plant trough.
