Description
Ivy Chimneys is a mid-18th century building located at No. 28 Mount Sion. It is three storeys high and constructed of red brick. The building features a parapet that supports terracotta vases, which were likely added later. There are three windows facing the street, and the doorcase is adorned with Tuscan half columns, an open pediment, a semi-circular fanlight, and a six-panel moulded door. The east front includes a curved bay with a large three-light window and a modillion cornice beneath the parapet. The glazing bars on this front are intact. The rear elevation is partially tile-hung. Ivy Chimneys is part of a group with Nos 28 to 30.
