Description
This building is an oasthouse and barn located about 15 metres south of Manor Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century or earlier, with additions from the early and late 19th century. It is timber framed and weather boarded, featuring a plain tiled roof, along with red brick and tiled oasts.
The earlier barn range on the left has a hipped roof and a catslide outshot at the rear, with a boarded door and a shuttered opening on the first floor, as well as double cart doors and a boarded door on the ground floor. To the right, there is a full-height passageway that serves as the main entrance to the farmyard and is also used as a threshing bay. The roofline steps up to the right to the oast stowage, which has shuttered window openings, a boarded door on the first floor with exterior stairs and landing, and a boarded door on the ground floor.
At the end right, the structure has a square plan with brick corbelling, while the earlier rounded section features a brick dentil cornice at the rear, both topped with cowls.
