Description
Manor Farmhouse is a house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with alterations and extensions made in the 17th to 19th centuries. It features a timber frame that is clad with red and blue brick, and the first floor is tile hung, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has a hall house origin and stands two storeys tall, with the roof stepping down to the right and hipped, featuring stacks to the right at the step-point and projecting at the left end. The brickwork is in English bond and has a triple pilaster-strip moulding at the moulded crown.
On the first floor, there are three 19th-century three-light wooden casements, with the leftmost having bargeboarded gables. The ground floor includes a wooden casement to the right and two French doors to the left, with blocked openings on either side of the central French door. The main entrance is through a half-glazed door located in a glazed and gabled porch on the left return. The rear of the house has a catslide outshot and hipped wings, partly dating from the 19th century. Inside, a crown post roof has been reported.
