Description

Bay Tree Cottage and Riverdale are part of a row of cottages dating from the 18th century. They are timber-framed and weatherboarded, featuring boxed eaves beneath a plain tiled gambrel roof. There are two brick stacks located on the wings behind the main ridge, one to the left and one to the right of the center. The roof has three hipped dormers on its lower slope. The buildings are two storeys high with attics and have a projecting tiled pentice over the ground floor. The front has four windows, which are casements with small weatherboarded square bays in three of the ground floor bays beneath the pentice. There are three boarded doors to the left of each bay.
