Description
Bay Tree Cottage and Ham Ponds Cottage is a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century, with a 19th-century extension. They are constructed of flint, dressed stone, and red brick in English bond, with the extension in yellow stock brick. The cottages have a thatched roof and are one storey with an attic, set on a plinth that features a plat band and cornice on the return elevations. There are stacks at both the left and right ends, and four raking dormers. The front has four segmental-headed wooden casements and a glazed door on the left, with a boarded door on the right. There is also a glazed door in the left return, along with arched recesses and window surrounds in the right return. A catslide outshot is present at the rear.
