Description
Shamrock Cottage and the adjacent Clockhouse Bungalow form a pair of cottages built in 1757. Shamrock Cottage is constructed of red brick with pantiled and plain tiled roofs. It is a single-storey building with an attic, featuring two raking dormers and stacks positioned to the left and right. The right gable has kneelers and is adjoined by the Clockhouse. Shamrock Cottage has two segmental wooden casements and a central panelled door, sheltered by a trellised porch with a tented hood. An extension to the right includes a single glazing bar sash window, a basement, and a projecting hip with a stack, which forms the left return of the Clockhouse Bungalow. The Clockhouse Bungalow is one storey high and has glazing bar sashes. It is further extended to the right with a parapet and a panelled door. Two date stones are located above the ground floor windows on Shamrock Cottage, reading "W I W I M 1751 1751".
