Description

Carter House is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys set on a plinth, topped with a hipped roof that includes a central chimney stack. The windows are arranged regularly, with three glazing bar sashes on the first floor and two on the ground floor, both featuring segmental heads. The entrance has a central panelled door topped with a cornice supported by enriched brackets. The right return wall was rebuilt in the 20th century. This house is included for its group value.
