Description

CRANBROOK HIGH STREET TQ 7735 NW (south side) 11/50 Nos 1-3 (incl) Lyndhurst 20.6.67 Cottages and Oakbeams (formerly listed as Lyndhurst Cottages) GV II

Cottage row. C16, extended to left and clad in C18. Timber framed and clad in stucco on ground floor, and weatherboarded on first floor with ground floor at entrance right weatherboarded. Plain tiled roof, stepped to higher ridge to right of centre and with steeper slope to right again. Tall brick ridge stacks in centre of each ridge. Flat headed dormer to right of centre. 2 storeys and attic. Irregular four window first floor, glazing bar sashes with single casement to right. 3 shallow canted bays to left, with large casement to right. Four boarded doors; at extreme left, in centre, and paired to left of right hand-most window. Flat hoods over each doorway.
