Description
Lyndhurst Cottages is a row of cottages located on Cranbrook High Street, dating from the 16th century, with an extension to the left and cladding from the 18th century. The cottages are timber framed, with the ground floor clad in stucco and the first floor weatherboarded, while the entrance on the right side is also weatherboarded. The roof is plain tiled, stepped to a higher ridge to the right of the center, and has a steeper slope further to the right. There are tall brick ridge stacks at the center of each ridge and a flat-headed dormer to the right of the center. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring an irregular arrangement of four windows on the first floor, which are glazing bar sashes with a single casement on the right. To the left are three shallow canted bays, with a large casement on the right. There are four boarded doors located at the extreme left, in the center, and paired to the left of the rightmost window, each with flat hoods above.
