Description
This is a headstone commemorating Thomas Hickmott, located about 19 meters north of the chancel of the Church of All Saints in Brenchley. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of freestone. The headstone features a square shape with scrolled corners and includes carved details at the top, including a pair of winged cherubs' heads. The inscription notes that Thomas Hickmott died in 1772. This headstone is a notable example from the 18th century, situated in an outstanding churchyard.
