Description
The building is a former stable located approximately 10 meters northeast of Hollonds Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed blocks of sandstone and features a peg-tile roof.
The stable block faces south and is a single-storey structure. The front has three windows, which are modern (20th century), and there is a plain plank door at the right end. The central window blocks a former doorway, while the other two windows are adorned with stone hoodmoulds that resemble floating cornices supported by shaped stone brackets. The roof is hipped at both ends.
Although the interior was not inspected, this stable block contributes to the visual interest and variety of the group of buildings surrounding The Green. Its large sandstone blocks form a blind rear wall that is significant to the overall appearance of The Green.
