Description

The stable block, located approximately six metres east of Woodlands, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of squared sandstone that incorporates reused tooled sandstone and features a pantile roof. The building is 1½-storey with a two-bay front. It has paired stable doors set in rebated openings, topped with diagonally-tooled lintels, and a single pitching door above. The gables are coped, and there are shaped kneelers. On the right side, a flight of stone steps leads to a loft door, which is also in a rebated opening. This stable block is included for its group value.
