Description

Crossways Weaver's Cottage is a possible former hall that has been converted into a house. It dates back to the 16th century, with 18th-century cladding. The building features a timber frame, a red brick ground floor, and a tile-hung first floor, topped by a plain tiled hipped roof. It stands two storeys tall, with end stacks on the ridge. The cottage has an irregular arrangement of windows, with six on the first floor and five on the ground floor, consisting of a mix of wide glazing bar sashes and casements. There are boarded doors for the entrance located to the left, in the centre, and to the right. At the rear left, there is a wing with a bracketed jettied gable and an oriel window below the jetty.
