Description

Mockbeggar House is a late 17th-century house, although substantially re-faced in the 19th century. It is timber framed and has a red brick ground floor and a tile-hung first floor. The roof is tiled, with projecting end stacks and tall, tile-hung semi-dormers. The house is of two storeys and has attics. The front has a regular two-window arrangement with sash windows, those on the ground floor being tripartite with gauged heads. A boarded door is positioned off-centre to the left, featuring a transom-light, a pilastered surround, and a small flat hood supported by heavy volute brackets.
