Description
Wilsley Farmhouse is a pair of houses that was originally built as a farmhouse in the 17th century and later clad in the 18th century. The building features a timber frame with incised plaster on the ground floor at the front, while the upper part has plain tile-hanging and the sides are weather-boarded. It has a plain tiled hipped roof with stacks at each end. The structure is two storeys high, with three windows on the first floor and four on the ground floor, all of which are casements with painted imitation gauged heads on the ground floor. There are painted central doorways with boarded doors. Inside, a substantial frame is visible, and the ground floor room to the left in No 1 has moulded ceiling beams. The room on the first floor of No 2 features fielded panelling and a bolection-mould fire surround, likely dating from around 1680 to 1700.
