Description

Burgage Plot Cottage, located 15 yards north of Brown's Architects Office, is an 18th-century cottage that has been converted into a store. The building features a timber frame and is clad in red brick on the ground floor, while the first floor is weatherboarded. It has a plain tiled roof and stands at one and a half storeys. The front of the cottage is irregular, with double doors on the left and a single door on the right, both of which have transom lights above them. At the rear, there is a catslide outshut. This cottage is included as an example of burgage plot development.
