Description
This is an early 19th century terrace of shops and houses located on the South East side of The Pantiles. The terrace is not uniform in design and comprises three storeys. The front facade is stuccoed, while the rear is weatherboarded and features a parapet, with pilasters flanking the front. Stringcourses are positioned above the ground and first floors. Number 11 has a slate roof with a single dormer window. It features a three-light sash window on the second floor and a three-light canted bay window on the ground floor. Numbers 13 and 15 have a recessed, panelled parapet and four sash windows with intact glazing bars. The first floor of numbers 13 and 15 includes a three-light bay window and two French windows, surmounted by a cornice with brackets. A cast iron balcony is present at number 15. A doorcase, featuring pilasters, a pediment and a semi-circular fanlight, is located at the rear of number 13. Numbers 11 to 15, along with numbers 1 to 7 and 19, form a group.
