Description
No 2 Nevill Street is a building dating from around 1860. It stands four storeys tall and is constructed of stock brick, topped with a slate roof featuring a wide cornice. The third floor has five sashes with intact glazing bars. On the second floor, there is a central sash flanked by two double sashes, both with cambered heads. The first floor also features five cambered sashes. There are two moulded stone stringcourses running along the building. The ground floor includes a round-headed doorcase on the left side, which contains a four-panelled door. Above the shop front, there is a cornice with mutules, and the frieze is supported by coupled brackets. This building is included for its group value with Nos 2 to 14 (even).
