Description

Collier’s Green Farmhouse is a possible former hall, now used as a farmhouse. The original structure dates to the 15th century, although it was re-clad in the 19th century. The building is timber-framed and incorporates painted brick on part of the ground floor, weatherboarding on the ground floor, and weatherboarding on the first floor. The roof is steep and hipped, finished with plain tiles, and features a tall ridge stack to the left and another stack on the slope of the right end catslide outshot. The farmhouse has two storeys, with an irregular facade of three windows on both the first and ground floors. It contains large 19th-century casement windows. A boarded door is located on the left-hand side, protected by a shallow pentice hood. The interior retains substantial timber framing.
