Description

Dower House Cottage, located on Goudhurst Road in Cranbrook, is a house that has been converted into a pair of cottages. It dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. The building features a timber frame and is weather-boarded, topped with a plain tiled half-hipped roof. There is a large brick chimney stack on the ridge to the right. The cottage is two storeys high and has a slightly irregular arrangement of five windows on each floor, which are wood-framed with diamond lattice casements. To the left, there is a boarded door, while to the right, in a lower one-and-a-half storey extension, there is a glazed door.
