Description
Nos 68 and 70 on Danns Lane are a former farmhouse dating back to the 16th century, now converted into cottages. The building features a timber frame that has been refronted in the 19th century, with a brick ground floor and a tile-hung first floor. This alteration conceals most of the timber framing, but the exposed joists and brackets of the full-width first-floor jetty and the main wall posts are still visible. The roof is gabled and covered with plain tiles, with a cross gable to the left of the front. The structure consists of four bays and is two storeys high, presenting an irregular front with four windows. The windows are 19th-century casements, and the entrance is located off-centre to the left.
