Description

No. 65 on Pizien Well Road is a house dating from the 16th century. The ground floor is timber-framed and covered in stucco from the 18th century. The first floor is tile-hung, concealing the framing except for the brackets that support the jetty, all resting on a wide coursed rubble stone plinth. The roof is plain tiled, featuring a slope stack at the back and a modern end stack to the right. The house has two storeys and a three-window facade with irregular 19th-century casements. There is an 18th-century boarded door accessed by a flight of six steps. A later extension has been added to the rear.
