Description
No. 34 on Plantation Lane is a house dating from the 15th or 16th century. It features rendered timber framing and a plain tile roof, standing two storeys high on a stone plinth. The right gable end jetties out and includes first-floor tension braces. The roof is hipped, with a gablet at the right end, and there is an off-centre stack towards the left on the front slope of the roof. The windows are arranged irregularly, with one three-light leaded casement at each end of the first floor and a small central window. The entrance has a central ribbed door within a 20th-century timber-framed porch that sits on a brick base and has a plain tile roof. There is also a lean-to structure at the left end of the house.
