Description

No. 38 on High Street is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with timber lintels and features an old plain-tile roof with brick gable stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and has been extended by one bay to the left at an unknown date. It is one storey plus attics. The front of the house includes a four-panel door located to the left of center, with a two-light casement window to the right and three-light 18th-century casements in the flanking bays. There are also three-light dormers on the left and center. The roof was formerly thatched. The interior has not been inspected.
