Description
No. 79 on Old Road is a 16th-century hall-house that has been much restored, with a 19th-century addition to the south. The building features a red brick ground floor and a tile-hung first floor. It has a hipped tiled roof to the right with a ridge stack. The structure is two storeys high and has four windows with various casements. There is a central doorway. At the rear, there is a later wing that also has a tile-hung first floor. The 19th-century gabled wing at the south end is made of red brick and has moulded barge-boards under a plain tiled roof. This wing is two storeys high and has one window with casements and segment-headed surrounds.
