Description
Sandhole Farm Cottages is a group of cottages dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. They are constructed with a timber frame and have elevations of limewashed plaster that are patched with brick. The north gable features creosoted weatherboarding, and there is exposed framing on the first floor to the left of the right half. The cottages have half-hipped roofs covered with plain tiles, with the left side being higher. There is an end stack with a projecting chimney breast and two small gabled dormers, both located on the right side. The left section has two storeys, while the right section has one storey with an attic. The front is irregular, with four windows on the left and two on the right. There is a panelled door located off-centre to the right of the left-hand block. At the rear, there is a tall projecting gabled wing with lean-to and catslide additions and extensions.
