Description

Rose Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th century, which was restored in the 20th century. It has an L-shaped plan with a wing on the north side. The elevations are made of 18th century coursed rubble stone with red brick dressings, except for the exposed framing on the first floor of the west end, the north side of the main block, and the west side of the north wing. The west side features a jetty that is underbuilt and blocked in red brick. The roofs are hipped and covered with plain tiles, with a central ridge stack on the main block. The cottage is two storeys high and has an irregular front with three casement windows. Entrances are located at the rear.
