Description
The stables, located about 45 meters west of Limes Farmhouse, date from the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed with a framed design and are clad in weatherboarding, topped with corrugated iron roofs. The southwest wing has been re-fronted in brick.
The overall layout is in a U shape, with the main range facing south and two wings on the southwest and southeast sides, containing a total of 16 stables. The building is single-storey, featuring gabled roofs at both ends and stable doors for each stable. The southeast wing is adjacent to a barn that has been converted into stabling.
Inside, the stables have plain 19th-century interiors, with boarded crosswalls and matchboard partitions. The stables have group value with Limes Farmhouse and other listed buildings in the farmyard.
