Description

The granary, located 10 yards east of Court Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century and incorporates earlier timbers from a dismantled building, possibly a hall-house. It features a 19th-century roundel. The structure is built of random rubble stone with red brick dressings on the ground floor, while the first floor is plastered timber-frame on the west and south sides and weather-boarded on the east and north. The roof is plain tiled and hipped to the south. The ground floor is open to the east, with a single window above that has closely-spaced diamond mullions. There are single windows on both floors of the south side, with the upper window containing two diamond mullions. The roundel at the rear is made of random rubble stone with yellow stock brick dressings, topped with a low pointed tiled roof.
