Description

The Cedars is a house built around 1800, featuring a stuccoed exterior with incised lines. It has a hipped tiled roof with a parapet and stacks located behind the ridge. The building is two storeys high and has a regular facade with four windows, which contain glazing bar sashes. The central entrance includes a panelled door with panelled reveals, set within a pilastered doorcase that has a dentilled entablature supported by fluted brackets. At the rear, there is a trellised verandah. The Cedars was formerly known as the Dower House of the Friars. To the north, there is a buttressed red brick wall that is approximately 7 feet high and 100 yards long.
