Description
Rory is a house, possibly a former hall-house, dating from the 16th century with 18th-century elevations. It is constructed of red brick with blue headers and features a plinth and an interrupted plat band. The building has moulded eaves beneath a hipped plain tiled roof, which includes a ridge stack at the rear and two hipped dormers. It has two storeys and attics, with a symmetrical arrangement of windows that has been somewhat altered. The first floor has four windows with central recessed panels, and the centre recessed area is now interrupted by a small casement, flanked by a blocked doorway and window on each side. Casement windows are present throughout the house. The entrance is located on the right return front, and there is a catslide extension to the left as well as a catslide outshot at the rear.
