Description

This is a house dating from the 16th century, with alterations and extensions from the 19th century. It is a timber-frame building, originally plastered, now with a plain tiled roof. It has one dormer window to the left of the centre, one ridge stack, one stack at the left end, and two stacks at the rear. The front has two storeys and three windows, featuring glazing bar sash windows. A central porch has flanking columns and panelled doors. A block to the rear, built around 1820, includes bowed windows, a central panelled door, and a fanlight. The building was formerly the Dower House of Clare.
