Description
Hawthorne Lodge is a house with an early 19th-century facade that covers an earlier building. It features a brown brick exterior and a plain tiled roof, consisting of two parallel ranges. The house is two storeys high and has box eaves beneath a hipped roof, with chimney stacks located at the rear left and rear right. The front has a regular arrangement of windows, with three glazing bar sashes on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all with segmental heads. The central door has six raised and fielded panels, with the top two being glazed, and is topped by an open pediment supported by pilasters. The rear ranges of the house are older, featuring both hipped and gabled roofs along with an outshot.
