Description
Nos. 14, 16, and 18 High Street is a terrace of buildings dating from around 1800, now used as shops and houses. The structure is made of yellow stock brick and features a slate roof. It stands two storeys high with a parapet above a hipped roof, which has stacks positioned at the rear left, centre right, and end right.
At the end right, there is a two-storey canted bay window that has five glazing bar sashes on the first floor and one sash at the centre on the ground floor. The centre left has a plate glass shop window with a boarded door and fascia, while there are three doors to the left, centre, and right. Each door consists of four panels and is topped with a traceried semi-circular fanlight, set within gauged and rebated semi-circular surrounds on imposts. The buildings are included for their group value.
