Description
Inglewood is a house dating from the 16th century, which was reclad and extended in the 18th century. It has a timber frame and is clad with brown bricks, featuring some applied timber, as well as sections with flint and ashlar chequerwork. The right side of the building has exposed brick infill. The roof is plain tiled, hipped to the right, with a kneelered gable to the left. The house stands two storeys high on an uneven and discontinuous plinth, with a plat band above the central ground floor section of chequerwork, which includes re-used medieval tooled stone. There are three glazing bar sash windows on the first floor and four on the ground floor, with the central window in the chequerwork section being segmental headed and significantly larger. The left end bay is a later addition from the 18th century. Access is through a rib and stud door located in the left return, which is framed by a cornice on a pilaster surround.
